Bionicle Run Cycle Test

A run cycle test of Vakama, Tahu, Jaller, Lhikan, and Norik in Blender. This is a test to see if actions from one armature can be shared and copied/pasted to another rig.
Models provided from ldraw and brickshelf.

Not bad.

I love it.

I need to get started drawing tough the weekend… I might throw it into the 3d

It looks really cool, like it could be in an actual Bionicle movie.

I might. Still have to work on other stuff, like modeling organic materials and environments.

I love the animations

I see definite improvements in your walk/running cycles. Besides a couple little hiccups, overall movement feels a lot more fluent and natural this time around.

For some reason it looks like they’re running perfectly to the tempo of this song…

It’s really fluid and cool! Its kind of mesmerizing, the way they all run at exactly the same cadence.

The models all have the same armature, but tweaked a little to match the model. So if one armature has a walk action, I can transfer that to another armature.

That’s so cool. Seems like that could be very useful.
