okay so I’ve seen topics about a Bionicle MMO, but what about a Bionicle game that’s campaign spans all 10 years and all side stories (Legacy of Evil I would really want to play through) how would you make it, RPG? Action? Adventure?
I personally would have it Batman Arkham style but you could switch between toa whenever you want. When you finish the campaign, everything would be open world and you could set the time period and location you would want to go to, Example: Mata Nui robot during the events of the great cataclysm or Spheres Magna before the shattering, or Mata Nui island after the Bohrok were done with it. 2015 and onward would be DLC, so how would you guys do this kind of game?
I always imagined each Toa Team would have their own game, and yeah the switching between Toa thing seems like it could work, especially if it wasn’t like Heroes and they actually looked like a team and not some guy switching masks.
arkham style would not work for Bionicle. Stealth isn’t very important at all in Bionicle, and that’s one of the major features of the Arkham series. A Legend of Zelda style game would be a much better fit, with puzzles and weapons galore
perhaps I should have elaborated (I really should have) I think the combat system to some degree should be like Arkham, not the stealth, though maybe if you were playing as Dalu trying to escape the Piraka stronghold it could work
@ToaVuhii Exactly, they have to look like a team not just one guy, oh maybe coop could be part of it too
It would be interesting to see it as an Assassin’s Creed sort of way. Not necessarily the game mechanics, but it starts with your character (whoever that might be) waking up and the people who captured him put that Kraata/Krana thing on you, and then you relive the lives of several Toa, Matoran, Turaga, etc. who were pivotal to the story.
I imagine you would be able to switch between 1st and 3rd person view, and some sort of leveling system. It would also be cool if, once you finished it (which would take a heck of a long time) you would find out who your character from the beginning is, and then you would get to explore the planet and islands in a sort of open world, Elder Scrolls way.
I also think there would be certain character types. The classic sniper, sneak, mage, brute classes and all that jazz. That would keep the gameplay exciting and different, depending on your character.
I had this idea a while ago, but I really wanted to expand the overworld mechanics of MoS. being able to walk around, use mask powers, throw discs, that’s one thing I really liked about that game. On a side note, I think the turn based rpg style is a good fit for Bionicle, just maybe a bit better than it was executed.
I also had an idea of a Pokemon Dungeon style Bionicle game.

A game that spans all the story arcs? Well there isn’t a central character who is involved in each and everyone of them and even if you were to do just the main story line, it still spans thousands of years.
He was there at the start of Voya Nui. Read the books.
Tahu wasn’t there for Metru Nui or Mahri Nui, either.
Anyway, I’d say a MMO would be a good idea, perhaps with Toa of all the primary and secondary elements as the first playable characters, but then unlocking more and more races as you go. For example, unlocking Skakdi after you free one from a Makuta prison and then getting to play as that guy on another character.
