Blazing Steel

This is basically my first time really taking a crack at digital painting without linework. Let me know what you think!

(Can I just preface by saying that I love how he’s clearly some sort of knight-like character on a medieval battlefield, yet he’s brandishing modern firearms. :stuck_out_tongue:)

It’s definitely different from your regular style. I wouldn’t have guessed it was exclusively digital - if anything, I would have thought there was more hand-painted stuff here. The knight himself looks very professional and stylish, with lovely lighting and texture. His weapons are a touch wonky, might be the only thing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Never would have guessed it was a first attempt. Looks stunning.

Thanks! I’ve been in a western mood lately, so I thought giving a knight revolvers would be kinda dope. They were meant to be some weird flintlock/revolver hybrid, but I’m horrible at painting details, so that didnt turn out quite right.

That’s good to know! I tried to make it look really gritty and stuff.

Haha you gotta have style when you’re using anachronistic weapons to decimate your enemies.

It makes me think of the Hacklorian video on The Hacksmith’s YouTube channel!
