Building the town of Brickington -PROJECT-

I have been wanting to do this for awhile - build my own Lego town. This is the first of many 32x32 baseplates that will have buildings. I know that I will be doing at least:

  • a town hall
  • a police HQ
  • a grocery store

I am not guaranteeing all of the following, but these are things I would eventually like to have or just general ideas:

  • a park
  • a coffee shop
  • a Lego store
  • a movie theater
  • a fire station
  • a car wash
  • a pharmacy
  • a gas station
  • a post office
  • a construction site
  • a pet store
  • a train station
  • an office building

The interior, which isn’t very exciting. The insides of these buildings are going to be simple but I may go back and add more of an interior, we’ll see.

That is it for the first two buildings. I am not quite sure how long it will be before I can make another two buildings, since I need another baseplate. What things on the second list do I need to do first? What are some other buildings I should add to the list of ideas?What other cameoa should I do ( Spiderman, Captian America, Emmet, Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, and Batman are ones I am definitly doing)? I will post in the topic whenever I make something new for the town. Hope you enjoyed, and will enjoy what is to follow!

Good stuff you got so far. There are not many lego city builders on the boards

The Ninja jumping from roof to roof of one building should be an Easter egg. Why not add a business office building (and put Emmet and Lord Business there), or better yet, a Lego manufacturing company! and instead of making several threads you should just add updates to this one. Saves space and such. The Pizzeria and Bank should have an easier way of getting access to the insides, perhaps one side of both should be removable? other than that this project sounds interesting, keep going.

@thundermaster612 I have all the rebooted ninja, so that will definitely be an Easter egg, however they will probably be replaced with the ninja from the upcoming movie. An office building is a great idea. I was thinking maybe adding that to the town hall? Thanks for the adding to this tread idea, as that is probably what I will be doing. I will also be sure to give the insides easier access in future builds. Thank you so much for you ideas and feedback!!!

Awesome!

I’m doing something similar with Star Wars, adding baseplates and such as I have the finances. I shall be watching with interest…

I would love to do something like this.

But with mecha. It’s just the parts required to build giant things like this is where I hit my boundary…
