Bungie's Marathon

I’ve recently been looking through some old TTV videos, and I stumbled upon this gem:

It’s a marathon let’s play made by arguably the best member of TTV, Tenebrae Invictus. I didn’t even know that this game existed until I watched this video. Apparently it was made by Bungie in 1994 to rival the ever popular first person shooter: Doom. It looked fun, so I downloaded it (Witch you can do here: http://marathon.sourceforge.net/ ) and I got to say, this game is fantastic. The atmosphere is great, and if you don’t care about dated graphics, then you’ll love this game too. Probably.

I think the best part about this game has to be the soundtrack. My favorite song being this one:

Definitely give this game a go. It’s worth your time.

Ive tried it on iOS.
It sucks with touchscreen controls, unlike other iOS ports I’ve played.
Although, I didn’t know it was free to download on PC so thanks for that.

I would like to revive this topic, as this series was my favorite growing up.

What the heck there was a topic made based off my dumb let’s play? How did I not see the topic before my hiatus??

To be honest I never have beat a single Marathon game, however I am decently far into Marathon 2 on the Xbox 360. It’s a fun series, definitely unique approach to story telling and some innovative FPS concepts at the time.
