Calces, the gear grinder. Newest upgrades + side by side.

Makuta Mutran is well known for his Is unnatural experience. One day he went to far. He created a robot cable of killing multiple targets by itself. Not yet activated, he wanted to present his newest weapon the toa crusher. Icarax was Intrigued, but the robot activated itself and caught them off guard. It attacked them without hesitation. It broke out and escaped the makuta’s layer. I main used spare parts for this build. But I am happy with the end results .

I was inspired by real steel atom with these hands

The Pistons in it’s arm and legs I was inspired by transformers G1 rumble. I was thinking he could launch itself extremely far.

I like how unnatural it looks. The gears give make it feel unapproachable (in a good way).

That head is something else, reminds me of a cross between a xenomorph and the Terminator.

@MinethuselahI would say the best way to Describe the look would be between Terminator like you said, and I would say its even closer to the thrall from Destiny that someone made a great Reference too on Facebook

The lower torso was more of a place holder until I found a way to build the real torso I wanted. I think I got pretty close to what I Imagined.

I also built him new weapons, built into his arms.

I added this blade to it’s right arm. I was thinking it would be like a very Is lage and brutal, needle that it would use to drain the toa’s elemental energy, but unlike the Marauder. Calces can’t use the energy for itself, as it would short circuit it’s brain. Although built for this purpose mutran never fully tested it, and didn’t work. Until the shadowed one found a way to fix it.

This is a really awesome moc you made. Love the gears you added. Reminds me of the old builds from LEGO with the treads online game where we had to move the eggs.

I recently bought some of these old gears from a seller germany, how has helped me create a lot of creations throughout the years I’ve been building. I was hoping I could use them to it more bladed like gear teeth, but due to it how they connect they leave a little bit of the axel out of the top part of the gear so the teeth weren’t flush when the mouth. I also added silver ingots to the inner finger tips so the fingers would sit more flush with the design.

Someone also told me to add a second little pyramid to keep the flow going. So I had to rebuild the upper body so it could connect while the gears stayed in place.

For these side by sides I wanted to show how much bigger it has gotten.

When the pistons are unextended it is already taller than bellum and odium combined.

When Calces is cornered, its arms can build up pressure within the hydraulics, it pulls its arms back

and the releases all the built up pressure, creating a huge sonic boom that blows away any near by enemys or allies are in range.

I’m not fully done with all the pictures yet, right now I’m working on a new comic on how Calces and Calvaria first meet.
