Cleaning Canisters?

Does anyone know if you can completely clean off labels and left over glue from canisters? Used to wanted blanks canisters as a kid but I never could get all the residual glue off.

HOW DARE YOU

um… I guess peel off the label and use goo gone? (or a similar thing, I just use that name as a general term)

I’ve used WD40 to remove the labels/adhesives from plastics before, I imagine that would work pretty well.
Just spray it on the sticky bits, let it sit for several minutes, and then scrub it off with a paper towel. You’d probably have to wash it with dishsoap or something after that though, because of the oily residue that WD40 leaves behind.

Okay. I’ve had some other people in a discord channel I’m in say goo gone but I’ll keep WD40 in mind. I’m just getting advice since I want to get some canisters and clean them off for photography.
