So, I wanted to show pics when I’d finished him, but my room has been hijacked due to remodeling and such and I’ve been unable to work on it for too long and got impatient. So here I present to you my giant MOC. He doesn’t have a name yet, so please suggest one. He was inspired by when I saw Pacific Rim and decided to build a Yeager to scale with minifigures.
It is currently nearly 3 feet tall, and when it is finished and has a head it will be 3 feet. I know my pictures are bad and my backgrounds are worse, but hopefully that’s enough for now, I will definitely add better pics later when he’s done. He’s my proudest creation so far. He also includes no HF parts whatsoever, all original Bionicle and Technic parts. I’m considering calling him Marendar, but haven’t decided yet. Please let me know what you think, along with name suggestions!
EDIT: I have now decided on a name, “Cordak Nui,” which translates to “Great Desolation.” Thank you all for your suggestions!
Additional Edit: Alright, so he’s been finiahed since just before the deadline for the BFTGM contest, but forgot to update this. He’s now over 3 feet tall. I also plan to make an alternate head for him because I don’t particularly like the way the one I made turned out. Here’s the link to the gallery, Cordak Nui Gallery - Album on Imgur more images will be added later and I can add images of specific angles by request.
Dude, this is sweet! Don’t like how he’s a rainbow though. (Jk, Jk) But this is really good. I"ve never been able to pull off the whole “Giant MOC” thing but oh well… Anyways keep up the good work, and keep the pictures coming, mate!
As far as names go, maybe Titus or like… Regorom?
Now this is something to be proud of, even though the colour scheme is all over the place this is still epic. For a name well let me think. Reminds me of Metroplex so maybe… I don’t know, I’m not good at names. Anyways nice Moc and keep on mocing.
This MOC looks very good it reminds of the time I built my 3 foot tall MOC. except yours looks a lot more stable. You now have my respect because of this accomplishment.
I applaud your efforts to keep the colors from going terribad, on a moc this size that alone is commendable, you have done a great job on it, the shoulder connections look a bit hollow, but that’s probably so they can move more than a few centimeters in any given direction.
can’t wait to see how the head goes, I hope you try to make a giant removable mask for him.
.
as for a name, maybe something using the word colossus as a base, like colossonui, or ancielossus, etc.
@Payinku I think I might try to make a giant removeable mask. But I shudder at the thought of trying to find enough pieces that are the right color after expending so many in the body. I think I have quite enough though.
