“Thank you.” Hardy smiled, clearing his throat loudly a moment before beginning, “From the footage, the pair of you seemed to have a brief exchange which the recordings couldn’t quite catch what with all the panicked screaming. Are you able to recall what the attacker said to you?”
The guard gives Hayden a similar glare, before returning a more supportive expression to glance in Iosif’s direction.
He wouldn’t be at full power though, as the cuffs still serve that function to a lessened extent. Even so, the officers in question seem to be wearing insulating gloves as they shepherd him along.
After a short walk, they lead Iosif into a small room with a table, sitting him down on one side while they settle on the other. The only door in the room is the one they entered through, which the officers are sat in front of, meaning if Iosif was crazy enough to try and make a break for it, he’d have to go through both of them first.
“Hey there, kid. I’m Lucas Hayes, and this is my colleague Russel.” One of the officers begins, gesturing to the man sat beside him, “We’re going to ask you a few questions, but there are some things you need to know before we do. First of all: if you choose, you can stay silent instead of answering any of our questions. This conversation is being recorded, so if you do speak, anything you say could be used as evidence against you in court. If you choose, you can also ask for a lawyer for advice or to be present while we question you. If you choose not to have a lawyer present, you can stop answering our questions at any time. Do you understand everything I’ve just said?”
Because he’d made no attempt to dodge out of the way, Vance would be hit with enough force to send him flying.
