Did you ever quit BIONICLE?

BIONICLE was a great toy line and had a phenomal story/ atmosphere. Many considered BIONICLE to be their childhood, like me for example. But, there was a time when I got older, I was getting tired of BIONICLE because I was losing interest in it, especially during high school. Think of it like Toy Story 3 with Andy and his toys. Was there ever a time you quit BIONICLE and said, “enough is enough?” It’s happened to many, especially some Biotubers back then.

Briefly during the Dark Time I sorta abandoned all interest.

But I was pretty on and off during that time.

It’s not that I quit bionicle.
It’s more like my 4 year old self didn’t know what it was called until my 8 year old self found out in '06

Although I joined in 2006, I never really got into BIONICLE until a couple years later. Looking back, I’d say 2012 was the year that I didn’t really focus on the BIONICLE community all to much, getting more wraped into the 2012 Ninjago storyline and HF Breakout.

Soon as HF came out I started losing interest.

After Breakout I completely forgot it existed.

I rediscovered it early last year, just before the 2015 leaks started.

I never started BIONICLE until I was 16, so, yay me

After it ended and it became clear that the serials weren’t going to continue, I lost a lot of interest. I still kept my sets and books on display, but without new story keep on top of, I lost the motivation to keep track of every little detail of the story. I’ve regained a bit of interest in the last year or so, but it’s not as much as I used to have. Maybe if this year’s story kicks into gear…but I digress. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d been a fan since 03, but quit when stars came out. I picked up the last comic though

I got into it in 2010. I had my takanuva stars for 2 years, then in 2012, got into HF. I kind of took a hiatus from HF after brain attack, but I am all for the new bonkle.

Inherited Bionicles from an older cousin around '05, didn’t actually understand what was going on until the Glatorian era began, took myself through a crash-course of Bionicle everything, and by the time i felt like i was familiar with the lore 2010 rolled around. I guess I never really left Bionicle, it’s just that I never got much of a chance to be in the community when Bionicle was active. So this whole reboot thing is pretty exciting to me in a community sense.

Back in 04-05 I stopped buying sets, got into transformers during that time.
Also when it ended, that was it for me.

At one point, I thought “Why am I collecting useless pieces of plastic?”
Then I thought “Oh wait, they’re super fun.”

[/quote] since I never really was a part of the G1 community while it was ongoing, the boards, for me, have been a good introduction to the fandom as a beast.

Nope, ever since 2004 (slightly in to it before hand) it seems Bionicle has been part of my day to day life :P.
