A continuation of the series of commissions for Ghost-Mantis ’ featuring creative reimaginations of Elemental Creatures from Bionicle Gen2.
[Digital MOC Commission] Akida and Ikir by Artemiy Karpinskiy , on Flickr
This time it’s Akida and Ikir , and I am very proud how they came out. I drew Akida’s inspiration from whale sharks, and Ikir’s wings actually follow the anatomy of real avians, and are properly foldable!

Aikida doesn’t exactly bit but looks nice as a stand alone whale moc.
Ikir really hits it home for me. Though the wings could have been done better
And you have any suggestions as to how make them better?

Possibly add more of the orange tail pieces. I don’t really got much on wings.
Without sacrificing the ability to fold wings - not possible.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with primal Pokémon, so I don’t really get the comparison.

Sees Akida … “Kyogre, is that you?”
In all seriousness, these are pretty well done. Ikir’s wings could use some filling in from certain angles, but that’s really tricky to do in Lego. The heads are really cool, though, and Akida’s body in particular is nicely filled out.

I really like your reimagining of Akida. I wasn’t a big fan of the official sets design, but here it’s worked in a way that really catches the eyes.
