Yes. Rahkshi is made out of solidified Antidermis. I can assume you can figure out the rest

I imagine it hurt more before the Makuta evolution. Now they just split off a bit of energy, increase the density to solidity, and done.

Only if they were in their organic forms.
The Makuta’s current, gaseous forms leave them impenetrable to any physical pain.
So they would not feel pain from pulling Kraata out of their essence.
Also, shouldn’t this be called
‘Does Kraata Creation Hurt’?, since the actual ‘worm like’ creatures are Kraata.

Oh right, it should be called that. Nao, it is done, from “Does Rahkshi creation hurt?” to “Does Kraata creation hurt?”.
But did the Makuta create Antidermis out of nothing to make the Kraata? Or is it just pure Shadow energy?

They are created directly from the essence of a Makuta.

They can create Kraata both in thier former organic and gaseous forms, though it was much easier to do it in the latter. Plus, they were superior to the ones made while in their organic forms, though it would weaken them.

Well, we see Teridax removing his kraata very quickly in MoL, maybe it’s to get it over with quicker, like ripping off a bandage.

After the Makuta’s evolution into gaseous beings, they couldn’t feel pain. So, Kraata creation would be painless no matter what.

How can a gas even hurt itself? I don’t think it would hurt.
After the Makuta evolution it definitely was no problem for them to make Kraata. And definitely not hurtful.
(although about that “can’t feel pain anymore” thing - I think they couldn’t anymore after their evolution, but there is that one sentence in one of the web stories where Axonn hits Miserix with his axe and the Makuta is said to “flinch back in pain” or something …)
They just took some of their Antidermis and “forced” it to become a solid Kraata. Although I think Kraata creation still would weaken Makuta somewhat, since they use some of their essence for it - they would have to regenerate that essence by for example absorbing other beings, I would guess.
As to before - it is said to have been a long and difficult process. I always imagined they would take some of their body tissue and let it carefully grow into a Kraata.
