What else do you do in your “Dragonvale”? Is it a game where you have pet dragons? Or is there more to it than that?

Pet dragons, racing, quests, collecting. Hopefully they add more. 
I’ll be starting requests hopefully tomorrow. I didn’t get to today and I have a trip coming up. I should get one or two done before then.
