I was thinking about Meso’s top 10 Weirdest sets and was wondering why Klakk was so weird. I realized that Lego must have designed it specifically for Brickmaster as an exposition of some of the new molds introduced in 2008, specifically the turbines, the claws, and the wings. That got me reminiscing about some of my favorite molds. I think my top three would be the Inika body, Brutaka’s sword pieces and Gahlok Kal’s shield (the only good thing about the Kal, but that’s for another topic). What are your favorite molds? Feel free to give more than three (masks/heads and gimmicks not included).

My top three favorite pieces are the Nuva chest armor, Onua Mata claws, and the Inika thigh armor.

The akaku nuva
I like the dagger pieces introduced in 2007. They can be used for a wide variety of things, plus they have plenty of recolors.

It isn’t exactly a gen 1 piece but Slizer foot all the way.

It just goes great with any Fire Toa or any Jet or Car

It’s not heavily textured, and it has a spot for a 3mm bar. It also makes for an excellent sword for smaller builds.
