Takua. Easily my favorite character in Bionicle, although I feel like he lost a lot of his personality when he became a Toa. I also don’t like how it was canonised that he was the first Matoran ever made. It kind of makes sense, but it just doesn’t seem right when you’re playing MNOG or watching the Bohrok animations (especially) and you’re thinking that he is literally older than anyone else in the universe aside from Velika.

My favourite Matoran is probably Matoro. I find him relatable to myself, like when he feels inferior to the rest of the Toa Inika in one of the books from the 2006 story. (Spoilers ahead!). He also sacrificed himself to save the universe.
