Given Scott’s tendency to make every detail meaningful and connect to the story, I think shadow Bonnie and Freddy are important somehow.

I don’t think this means there will be a fourth. Just because ST’s in the background doesn’t mean there will have to be another game. Let’s review the evidence:
[spoiler]- The children’s spirits were released, meaning the animatronics are no longer haunted. Basically the entire point of FNAF is wrapped up. Just look at the good ending screen, the original four masks simply masks now.
- Purple Man got killed in a suit, which ironically means he is now forced to forever haunt an animatronic. This could be why he’s in the picture, because he’s still there.
- The blurred text is Scott talking about some backstory on creating the game. He describes in detail a nightmare he had about Bonnie, talks about modeling Foxy, explains that this game was make or break for his career, among other things. It’s not the kind of stuff he’d put in a intermediate game (ie., not the last one).
- The latest image on his website: a lone Freddy hat. Nothing when brightened. Just a hat. It likely signifies the end of FNAF.[/spoiler]
So I’d honestly say there’s more evidence against a FNAF 4.

I just wanted to put that out there for discussion.
I personally agree with you, and this is possibly Scott’s way of giving us the “final scare” just for fun… not for any storyline relevance…buuut there’s always a possibility for a completely new game that is not tied in to the original Fnaf story, whether it be someone new finding the burned Springtrap animatronic, or Springtrap just haunting a general area like Slender man. No matter how much facts that seem to point against a new game, we never know. Scott can be one mischievous fellow…
