It’s more likely in my mind that Scott removed his own comment upon second guessing whether he should give mat any direct clues. Scott has clearly avoided giving the community any official statements on theories.

FNAF 4 is the finale; it makes no sense to intentionally create more plot holes and introduce an event that happens during another part of the timeline when you can just as easily use the same event wrap up one we’ve been hearing about from the start.
Both of these are wrong via pre-established stuff in the franchise;
A) We know the franchise was established in the 1970’s opening in 1973.
B) The commercial is clearly for Fredbears Family Diner, hence the title of ‘Fredbear & friends’ on the commercial. This is not where the bite of 1987 took place. The bite of 1987 took place at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
It is not actually the finale, we know this. We’ve seen the box, we know their are plot holes and secrets to be answered. FNAF2 and FNAF3 both established the existence of Fredbears Family Diner which is what this game is about. This is the first incident, what sparked off everything. Its why the first diner had to close and why the place has been haunted ever since.
Due to the magnitude of purple items in the kids room, i think we can be safe in the belief he is a relative or somehow knows the purple guy enough for the purple guy to care for him. Further built upon when Golden Freddy with a purple tie (Purple guy) appears to promise the kid that he’ll fix him.
So in my view FNAF4;
Establishes the Purple guy and sets him up as working at Fredbear’s family diner along with giving him motivation to hate kids because someone related to him or someone he cares about is injured by some kids. He is shown learning how to use Springtrap and have access to the outfits and prior knowledge of the animatronics when Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza opens. It establishes that he has been around since the very first place.

The only part that needs to really be revealed is who Purple Guy is, which i guess is what the kid saw that traumatised him, which the kid mentions in the game. He sees something and then has to run away. I would go under the belief he saw Purple guy doing something, but the question is what? and why would it affect him so much?
Actually, Scott said that wouldn’t be DLC. Whether it wraps things up or just promotes the movie, who’s to say.

This is important seeing as it confirms multiple locations, perhaps explaining how they could’ve shut down and reopened within a year, despite multiple violent deaths on the premises.
Though I’m not particularly against the theory that the kid is related to the purple guy, I don’t think he’s been telepathically communicating with him the whole time. And even if the fredbear doll is symbolic, what about the storage closet scene? Why didn’t purple guy just open the door?
As for this, why would a current commercial be advertising characters that aren’t even being used at that location? Furthermore, It would make even less sense if it was Fredbear’s Family Diner because those characters don’t exist yet at all.
This is something I want to know. Might have been nothing, given his extreme fear of animatronics, but maybe not! I wonder if it had something to do with the '87 yellow suit killings?
You’ve got a fascinating theory going; I just don’t think it makes much sense given what we have.
In which case the commercial doesn’t make sense as the intention is definitely for it to be Fredbear’s family diner given it says ‘Fredbear & Friends’ rather than ‘Freddy’ or ‘Fazbear’

Not sure where you got the telepathy idea from, its likely just the kid dreaming of his friends/family as he dies - or it quite literally could be them coming to his bedside while he’s in the hospital.
Perhaps promising the kid (or himself) that tomorrow will be a better day, that the kid will wake-up and be fine.
I’m guessing the idea is that the animatronics in the dream represent the kids who were bullying him.
Yeah, what the kid saw is likely what ties most of FNAF4 together.
