I have a theory. I think lot of people like spooky things, but if they acted spooky for entire year, that would be too spooky, and so they act spooky for one day. That seems reasonable. But some people apparently still take it too far, because not all are reasonable.

I remember someone on the boards saying that lot of people in their area disliked Hidden Side because it was not on Halloween. That does not make sense for me. Spooky things can exist all year if within margins of reason.
I agree that being a ghost would have its advantages. But it depends on what kind of ghost you are. Imagine being stuck in some old, dusty, and creepy place, having to endlessly haunt the visitors.

It’s special to a lot of people, like me, (heck, i started a topic for it)
Every holiday has its reasons to be celebrated and if you don’t a celebrate a specific one, that’s okay too. I will admit Halloween is one of the more… “optional” ones but when you think about it every holiday is optional- You don’t have to celebrate any of them. and yet we do, because we like celebrating.
@WaterGafna it also does not maoe sense to me, but many people on this earth form believe out of social habituation. Like the idea that bacon and eggs are breakfast food. Not true! They are regular food that you can eat any second of the day, and I do!
I don’t think I’d like to be one of those geographically committed ghosts. I’d like to be an ambling ghost. I never understood the notion that a ghost must haunt a certain place or must be vengeful or something. I don’t even conform now, how is anyone gonna make me conform when I’m dead? What are they gonna do if I don’t torment the living, arrest me? I’ll just phase through the cuffs and do some loop’dy-loops. I’m untouchable literally and politically
