Catina readied herself to deploy from The Pelican. “What do we do when our boots are on the ground?” She asked Alex.

The pelican came to a halt and the door opened up revealing they were right above a clearly human structure.
Snow surrounded the area with towering mountains making up the backdrop. heavy gunfire was audible in the distance as the AA canons sat focused on the LR forces in space.
Captain Alex ran forward and jumped out of the pelican, his boots made a loud thump and he raised his weapon, his ODSTs followed closely behind.
within the first few seconds, Alex had lined up his weapon and fired several rounds into a marine.
a few more seconds past and by then daylight had made landfall, an ONI mantis began to walk out from a storage room and a group of Spartans covered in PREFECT followed closely behind.

Kaitlynn readied for a potential crash, her hand gripped tightly on her battle rifle as she looked down to her ammo count. “36 rounds, 12 potential dead targets.” She said.

Kiana, Kyanna, Leygall, and Beth jumped out of the pelican, Leygall did not even bother to cloak knowing it would do absolutely nothing thanks to the snow. Instead he got into cover and began firing at one of the spartans with his plasma rifle.
Kyanna made her way behind a rock, she was too far for her weapons to do any actual good, so she laid out suppressing fire on one of the ONI spartans.
Kiana used her jetpack to get to a slightly higher location, finding a chunk of rock to take cover behind while keeping the high ground, she then began firing at the same target Leygall was shooting at with her DMR.
Beth activated her shield and used it to block any incoming bullets while she made her way to cover, when she finally made it she did what she could, firing at the Marines left in the area with her rain of oblivion.

Sarah and Samuel took cover together. They were back to back as they fired their weapons.
“Hermes, make sure you keep it in one piece!” Ana said over comms to him.
“I will ma’am. Please stay safe…” he responded.
Leo landed with a loud thud. He readied his cannon.

Kaitlynn looked up and rushed out of the pelican, as she hoped out she began opening fire on the Spartans, her battle rifle firing in bursts fast enough to sound as if it was full auto. She quickly rushed For cover and joined Kyanna.

Aries and Catina left the Pelican working in tandem and taking cover when they saw the ONI Spartans and ONI Mantis emerge.
“I also kept this. The Spartan third from the left, get ready to headshot him!” Catina told Aries over the coms as she pulled out a Plasma pistol she took from one of Cabis’s dead Grunts, then overcharged it and got out of cover as she popped the third Spartan from the left’s shields.
The she quickly took cover as the ONI Mantis opened fire on her, causing some shield damage and then chipping away at the boulder she was hiding behind. “Grace, do you have your rocket launcher?” Catina asked Grace over the coms. “I’m going to EMP that Mantis shortly.”

three ONI Spartans began to move on them firing bursts from SMGs to keep them in cover. There shields taking the brunt of Kianas DMR shots

Catina saw the Mantis get it’s rockets ready and activated her bubble shield. Then she slumped down further behind the boulder, setting both her frag grenades on the ground, and pulling her Corpsemaker off her back, should those two Spartans run inside of the shield, but have the boulder between them.

the spartans saw the shield go up and began to move around to either side of it, and soon behind Catina. The two readied there weapons as the mantis fired at the shield causing it to start to flicker

kiana was too far for the SMG shots to be accurate enough to do much, a few bullets pinged her but not enough to do signifigant damage to her shields, so she kept firing at the same spartan with leygall.
Leygall’s weapon had overheated, making him duck behind cover as he waited a moment for it to cool off.

the spartan they had been firing ats shields failed, however, the two were now in effective weapons range
Greg was in a slight panic, he was tosing files around his desk as he looked for something. He heard more gunfire from outside as he found what he was looking for.
Harold came running in “Sir neither of us have time to put our armour on” he said worried
“how about a winter jacket” Greg said as he held up the device
Harold nodded as he ran out of the room looking for coats.

“Grace, fire your rockets at the Mantis!” Sky shouted.
“On it, ma’am.” Grace said, and amidst the chaos began to calmly prepare to fire upon the mech.

Kiana ducked behind cover, she tossed a grenade at the two spartans and used the small opportunity of them being distracted by it to move positions so she could reload.
Leygall’s gun had cooled and he rose once more, firing at the same spartan again.

Well f#ck Catina thought. Unless Grace had acknowledged me and has her rocket launcher, this looks pretty grim. She thought, as she was forced to run to the far side of the shield as she activated her Corpsemaker, then stuck her hands and Sao Paulo outside of the shield, and hit the ground in front one of the Spartans. Hoping that Spartan was close enough to be affected by the energy blast.

Catina sent Aries another com.
“Think you can EMP that Mantis with my plasma pistol when this shield is taken down?” Catina asked as she dropped Sao Paulo, adding it to the weapons littering the ground, and drew her M6D. Catina started shooting the Spartan she had singled out after sticking both her hands and her pistol out of the shield.
