I’m still experimenting with more stylized things; this time I tried Hero Factory. Little by little, I’m getting the hang of the Lego to cell-shaded workflow. I still need to improve the torso and armor, but everything is going well.

Only real complaint I have is that the outline of the mask is way smaller than the outline of the legs/armor. Not sure if that’s a thing that scales with the pieces, but it would probably help to have that standardized.
When will we see the other five?

I like how you took creative liberties, like the posable knees and the hands, but also retained the full essence of the original.

It’s funny, but that’s actually what the HF comics from 2010-2011 looked like. Heavily cell-shaded while having animation-style designs (including mechanical detailing not seen in the sets, especially on hands and joints). I’d love to have animated versions of the HF comics exist, especially animated like in these renders.

The first HF comic style sold me on HF’s world. The TV show encouraged me to ask for a refund.

i think the same art director of the Bionicle 4 Movie was on the Show too, Thats why they where a lot of changes, the show art is not bad, its just more detail and actually is very intresting, the bad thing of the show was the Narrative, and that they didnt do more seasons they only did One Season arc and the other ones where Just 1 hour specials

Yup, the same studio that did the 2009 Bionicle movie worked on the HF videos. I really liked the 2010-2011 videos (mainly because they’re the only ones I’ve watched other than Invasion From Below, which was very odd in tone compared to the others). Brain Attack was interesting, really wish there had been something to explain the Heroes’ changing back to 2.0-style designs in 2014 rather than retaining at least some of their 2013 designs.

I think Stormer is looking the best so far.
The style reminds me of a game that would be on Wii or something, I guess that’s fitting for what it is.
