This is going to sound like a strange question, but sometimes I can’t tell if i’m starting too many discussions or not, and if its classed as spam A while ago I was making about 1 - 2 discussions per day, and i’d just like to know if i should tone down on making discussions or not
(This is my second today)
I really don’t think this is a problem.
You haven’t seen anything yet. Wait until you hit Master
TTV encourages discussion as long as it’s not off-topic. Keep it up!
I don’t think there are enough discussion topics. Not that I want too many.
There are, but most of 'em are dead
Then there is me, a long standing member who has a grand total of 3 topics.
Well, you don’t exactly have a self moc, so that cuts down about nine topics, at least for the amount of time you’ve been here.
As long as its not obvious spam.
By ‘discussions’ and ‘posts’ do you mean in pre-made topics or are you on about creating new topics?
Creating new topics.
From my understanding;
Nothing particularly wrong with creating topics - as long as the topic has not been created before and provides a good discussion that keeps in line with board rules
Would be careful with this though, creating new topics is fine but it can be considered spammy if they lack an element of discussion - or if you made a ton of topics in a short time span as some might consider this a little odd.
Best advice would to only make topics about things you are interested in heavily, that way you can contribute to the discussion and would be able to invest time into the topic
As a side note i would be careful with topics like your ‘Bionicle combined with other materials’ at the moment there are three separate topics and i feel if you are going to make more then perhaps it would be best grouping several of these designs into a topic - or having a single topic with a gallery. I can potentially see staff deciding to merge those into a single topic simply to keep things organised, just speaking from my experience, not saying they definitely will.
Oh okay. For my next one i’m probably going to group a few together then. Thanks for the advice
No problem - if you have these sorts of queries in future it may be best approaching one of the staff members directly via a PM though, they’d be the best to give advice
