Organic enough so that I see them as not human.
in my mind, most of their limbs would be coverd in organic muscles and skin and other organic stuff, but their skeleton would be made of a mix of organic bones and metal skeletons. Also, on some areas of their bodies, would be mechanic parts that would allow them to attach armor parts onto, like an outer shell for extra protection. Their body and head would be made of mostly robotic parts, but with some organic parts under the metal, some of these organic portions would be the brain, the heart, lungs and a stomake.

As what a lot people are saying, I prefer for them to have metal bones and skin with muscle and internal organs; Which is basically how I imagine an average Matoran or Toa of G1 is.

I like my bionicles to be local free-range GMO-free gluten-free and low-fat
that is to say, metal bones/exterior with organic guts
