How to get DLC Packs for the X-Box 360

So I recently got LEGO Marvel Avengers.

I am really excited for this game, but before I start, I want to figure out how to get the downloadable character packs.

What do I need to do?

You don’t need gold membership you just need xbox live.

Yeah, you need an Xbox live membership to be able to do anything online with your Xbox-360/one

If it needs internet then 9/10 times you need live.

EDIT:
Now it’s not working at all! I turned on the game and suddenly it said it couldn’t connect to the LEGO Avenger’s server!

Any ideas on what the problem is?
