Wow it is really funny reading the start of this topic ten years ago and comparing it to what actually ended up happening.
Like this uh… was attempted and didn’t pan out in the end. Not necessarily for a new wave of people succeeding the podcast specifically, but the brand in general.
What a long ride it has been though.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun at least.
we need to get a new group together, a new ttv.
Oh crap, here we go again
no, really! this time it will work!
(most probably not)
Guys we need a new new ttv replacement, something to replace the replacement, I’m thinking iTTV sounds like a good name for it
For real though, the TTV Message Boards is the best place to be in the Bionicle community. I know a lot of other groups have appeared since the rise of Discord, but TTV maintains a far more sociable and pleasant atmosphere, has better content across the board, and has rules that don’t absolutely suck. That’s rarer than you might think.
I know nothing lasts forever, but hopefully the Boards will find a way to get as close to forever as possible. The podcast had a good run and ended on a high note; conjuring up a replacement for it would only disrespect its legacy.
a new podcast would be a badly made sequel, I agree, but I think other content could be made, possibly by people on the boards, for the tav crew to help them get out videos
Agreed about the rules. Most other places I’ve been (social media, subreddits, etc.) tend to have rules that either discourage discussing opinions (not even political or other controversial stuff, just differing opinions) on most content (like Transformers forums often being biased to particular shows, or the Bionicle subreddit officially stating that they blanket ban users reported for making offensive remarks- not confirmed reports, just reports).
TTV, on the other hand, focuses its rules on keeping discussions both on topic and not featuring anything particularly controversial (compared to other forums). Active moderation also helps, since most alternatives tend to be like Reddit, with impersonal moderation by people who don’t really interact with users aside from laying down the law.
Well, there’s nothing wrong with people here making their own content, plenty of friend groups were born here and made videos in the past.
It’s not like the channel as a whole is over though, there’s just a lot of things both in and out of our control that makes it deflating to work on anything specifically on the TTV Channel anymore.
(but maybe I’ll pick up making videos again when some life stuff clears up in the near future finally)
Maybe some people (me) would be interested in that ![]()
YES PLEASE!

We had reactions, but they got removed ![]()
also unrelated but I absolutely love the Boards emojis, they have so much character to them ![]()
I don’t think it makes sense to keep a channel alive just for the sake of keeping it alive. When you hit that phase, your viewers start to notice. Also, I don’t know the internals of the YouTube algorithm, but I think starting a new channel with one consistent host will do better for the algorithm than sporadically uploading to an older channel with a variety of different hosts.
Thanks for the compliments. In regard to Reddit, I think part of why there’s less interaction is that they have to deal with a lot more things than we do here. We’re now on the smaller side of things when it comes to Bionicle fan sites. Also, it’s much easier to tell on here what topics are active compared to those on Reddit. If you do want to interact with the Reddit mods, they’re somewhat active on the subreddit’s Discord server.
I need more Invictus Analysis injected into my veins. Please tell me this is in the works.
