I would not say I have a rock-solid answer, but I may have an idea for something that might bridge the two styles.
So, I have been considering how a new wave of buildable figures should be made and look.
While I do not have any visualization (yet.) on what this exactly would be, I can describe to you what this will be:
-It is a new part, a modified wedge plate with five studs on the top section.
-It has the general shape of a plate 2 x 2 cut corner wedge and a 1 x 2 plate molded together at the end of each other.
-It has a clip handlebar connector on the angled corner side that looks like a piston and tilts horizontally.
-Its functions like a plate made as a foundation for limbs.
Yeah, this is it in a nutshell.
It would be a very versatile part of the sets I have imagined so far.
I do not know when I could post some of my early sketches of this piece, but I will eventually soon.
