I was wondering while I know the kraata power of hunger can not affect elemental powers directly but can they affect them indirectly? Say for example a Vorahk drains a Toa to the point they are barely awake and even though they are still full of elemental energy they can not use it simply because they are too tired even though their powers were unaffected. It could be something similar to when Vorahk accidentally drained Turahk of fear energy in the movie and the novelization.

I believe that that’s how it would work.

That’s not really affecting elemental energy though, it’s just hampering the user’s ability to do anything besides take a wee little nap

Unleash hunger to induce nausea, hallucinations, dizziness, stomach pain, and headaches on the victim. That alone would stop anyone from being able to fight. (Or make them experience the hunger resulting from increasing their metabolism to where they lose weight faster than they can gain it, so their body eats itself.)
