Does it just have to be a joke where the entire idea is “This is not what it looked like”

I don’t think so. Rick Roll is a bit more of a trolling maneuver than John Cena. Nobody wants to be Rickroll’d, but John Cena might just make someones day.

Rick rolling is outdated. It’s been reincarnated as John Cena, but has been used not as cleverly, as the amount of young teens making crap like this has increased, and they don’t know how to properly use it.
