Aside from the “elemental”-based shadow leeches that -kinda- “infect” creatures, are there diseases, either parasitic (organic) or mechanical (like a computer virus), in the MU? Has this been defined, or am I free to just make up what I want without triggering people?

Well, we know that “Contact with the Zyglak’s skin can cause the spread of an organic protodermis-destroying disease.” It was mentioned on the Encyclopedia Updated page 160, under the “Zyglak” entry.

Is there clarification? Something like what kind of disease it would be - similar to a computer virus or the kind that irl animals get ('rona time baby)?

I believe they’re more like actual illnesses, for example, the infected kohlii resulted in realistic sympotms. As a matter of fact, it was actually called the Po-Koro epidemic, but then again, it IS from MNOG, so that may not be canon.

The only thing I remember about it is that diseases in MU are not transmitable to SM inhabitants and vice versa.

The main one I can think of was the dreaming plague, but that’s not in the MU…
