Oh my gosh I forgot to upload Junie here what is wrong with me
So anyway, Here’s Junie. Possibly my most controversial OC because 80% of my followers like the Toa version more than the Human version. Which is fine, You’re totally entitled to that opinion, this is a bionicle fandom after all. But story and character design wise she’s been human since 2010. And that isn’t gonna change.
This is however, my first time MOCing her as a human, since I didn’t believe I had to skill to before. I based this MOC design off the artwork of the character, since that is how I imagine her to look.
Her design is inspired by wrappings and baggy clothes of Shaolin monks, and her character in general is meant to convey both a peaceful nomadic lifestyle, and a hot headed martial arts fighter. Because of this, it was very hard to MOC certain aspects of her design, and as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I have sewn her a custom hood and belt.
Without the mask:
Junie was (and still is) a persona of mine, this MOC is technically her V10. She’s not only one of my oldest characters, but one that I have put a lot of time into sculpting and changing over the years. she’s very near and dear to me, even though she isn’t my mascot anymore.
Needless to say that despite the critisism this MOC gets, I’m still quite happy with how she turned out, and proud that I managed to make a MOC of her that is so design-accurate. However, I do know that there is a lot I can change on her to make her even closer to how I imagine the character so we shall see how that works out when i revamp her again!
I really like the build of the legs. they look very true to actual musculature. the mask/underface is done really well too. The orso looks very solid and filled out, which is always good.
Not sure about the fingers though, they look a bit too skeletal. The clothing piece needs a bit of work too. Looks a bit bath-towelly (maybe that’s what you actually made it out off, I don’t know).
For some reason the “sandals” are what stand out to me the most. Aside from that, I feel like the black sections have a more solid build than the white sections and the head (I’ll assume it is because of a more abundant supply of black parts).
I’m personally not huge on the lower arms or torso cloth, but everything else comes across quite well. Especially the upper torso, which is a wonderful design.
