Kingdom Come: Side-Mission Submissions

I was going to think some sort of powerful weapon or artifact that the players would be able to use further down the line. You have more experience with the system so I was thinking you would choose what exactly it was.

The adventurers come across a small island covered in forest with on coastal town. The Matoran welcome the heroes, but insist that they leave immediately. When the group finally decides to leave, they discover that their mode of transportation has disappeared. The Matoran finally reveal that this island was used by a Vortixx scientist to experiment on crossing Matoran with Rahi, creating monstrous hybrids meant to have the intelligence of Matoran and the abilities of whatever Rahi they had been crossed with. But they were too unstable and went insane. The surviving villagers are safe only because of a field of (deus ex defense), but say that the only way off the island will be to seek the Vortixx laboratory at the center of the island.

Along the way, you will have to fight vicious, hybrid beasts. Upon reaching the laboratory and gaining entrance (there are defenses surrounding it which can be disabled by any tech-savvy RPC), they will discover a series of crystals acting like thumb-drives that chronicle the Vortixxā€™s attempts at experiments. They learn that these beasts were meant to be sold as slave-warriors to any warring faction that required soldiers that could potentially end any fight. The last record says that the beasts regained their former memories of their Matoran life and decided that since the world would no longer accept them as intelligent beings, then they would conquer it. Then the leader of the beasts reveals itself and also that they have built a ship to sail to Metru Nui, but first they will turn the remaining Matoran on the island into creatures like themselves.

Once the heroes reach the ship, they have two choices: they can either escape the island and reach safety, or turn back and save the remaining Matoran and potentially get captured.

Lots of great ideas here to be sure! Though, if I didnā€™t know any better, Iā€™d say that people really want to involve the Vortixx. d=

@Brikkyy13 I am perfectly fine with something a little goofy and off-the-wall. Iā€™d probably replace the video camera with some sort of more Bionicle-esque sounding device and Iā€™d maybe decide to name the band Bon Jovan or something though. xP

So hereā€™s my idea:
The player comes across a small Matoran village. All the Matoran are crowded in the town square, where a gang of skakdi are grouped. The Skakdi leave with a few of the Matoran in chains. One of the Matoran then goes up to the player, and tells them about how the Skakdi had been coming to the village, demanding slaves and money. If the Skakdi donā€™t get what they want, they will destroy the village. The Turaga is offering a reward for getting rid of the Skakdi, however the Skakdi have grown rich, and good weapons and armor.
The player is left with 2 choices: Help the village get rid of the Skakdi, or help the Skakdi enslave the village.

Collect all the Madu Fruit in the area. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, seriously. So the island of Nynrah is is big trouble. A group of Matoran had stolen an artifact from the chamber of Teridax in order to test it out. Now a Makuta is after the Matoran because they have done some things to the weapon, and made it extremely dangerous. You can either help the Makuta, help the Matoran, or use some of the Nynrah tech for yourself and let the Makuta deal with the Matoran.

During a visit to a Bar/Tavern type place (Preferably in Ta-Metru,) the Cast members hear about smugglers selling supposedly Kanohi Dragon Eggs, (If thatā€™s even a thing,) to the highest bidder. They also learn the location of the smugglerā€™s hidout, and can from there decide what they want to do, (Steal, Bid, report the smugglers, Ect.) Also keeping in mind what kind of destructive force a Kanohi dragon could become when raised in the wrong hands. If they choose to steal or attack the smugglers, they wonā€™t go down without a fight. Sounds a bit farfetched but a baby Kanohi dragon could make a kewl companion.

Also will these be made into a series of episodes to be put on the channel? That would be pretty great.

Yep, thatā€™s the idea.

There is a destroyed(abandoned) small village(of matorans). After searching through different huts, there is a lab with a projector kinda thing and a couple tablet of notes,(maybe) the notes are also present on the table and on the broken walls here and there. The notes describe a different world and how the writer wants to traverse this land. Other huts have small comments with concerns of this matoranā€™s project. It turns out that the labā€™s owner was stubborn enough into trying to make an Olmak. The lab owner is also responsible for the destruction and disappearance of the village due to the instability of the knockoff Olmak projector thing and the lab ownerā€™s desire to explore the foreign land (he forced the other villagers to explore the land). Some of the remaining notes describe a being the writer talked to, giving the matoran information. The being taught the matoran a few concepts and how to make a few weapons.

In a nutshell: abandoned empty village from olmak knockoff, but the portal the olmak makes leads to a knowledgeable being(maybe dangerous) that the party could use. Activate the olmak and explore the portal or not?

Eljay, separated from the others, meets a mysteriously creepy Matoran namedā€¦ Alena. Together they discover a mysterious device calledā€¦ the Cookie Clicker. However, while attempting to flee with it, he is detained by guards with a mysterious radiation device. Refusing to use it, he is subjected to a brutal ritual known asā€¦ the pat down. Returning to the others, and disrupting them with speeches about the Bananna Cult and talking about meeting back up with Alena (unaware that she is following them)ā€¦ Eljay is fired, beginningā€¦ A.T.E.I.A week. All evil is then stopped, beginning an age of peace
(Seriously, could Alena make a character and play? If Eljay isnā€™t actually fired?)
Other idea:
The cast stumbles upon a Makutaā€™s Rahi-creating chamber. There they find a creature/some creatures experimented on by the Brotherhood. The creature(s) asks them to try to return it/them to itā€™s/their original state. The cast can experiment on it/them, risking mutating it/them more, refuse to do anything, leaving it/them in its/their hideous state, or mess around with the stuff to try to create a Rahi that could be a useful pet, or could kill them all.

Will you consider taking in ideas for enemies from the community? For an example, Missing No (pokemon gen 1 game reference) can be an enemy rahi for the party to fight.

Enemy ideas? Yes, if they have some context. Iā€™m not going to just start throwing in cross-over characters though.

How is this RPG gonna work? Will it be text-based?

I think itā€™s gonna be akin to tabletop RPGs like DnD.

The TTVers come across a village and are informed that one of the toa has gone rougue and plans to join the dark hunters. The villagers ask the TTVers to go talk some sense into him and tell them he is a toa of air named Lovak and that he wears a Pakari. They find his shack in the forrest and find a bunch of nice stuff (which Iā€™m assuming Viper will be the first to loot) they find a note that says heā€™s already left to join the hunters. They track him down to a town where he is preparing to board a ship (Iā€™ll let you decide how they find him incase someone has some kind of tracking spell) they find out that heā€™s actually a big fan of theyā€™re work and wants to tag along. (this would require them to have become marginally famous, so this could be a bit later in the campaign)

But thatā€™s not all. The Dark hunters arenā€™t fond of being turned down for a bunch of idiots so The Shadowed One puts a price on all of their heads, and tricks them into getting trapped in an old abandoned village and they have to fight their way out all western shootout style.

Viper has to choose between her friends and her fellow species when fellow Skakdi come calling her home for war. If she decides no, then a fight ensues. If she says yes, the Skakdisā€™ true motives are revealed and the rest of the group have to save her. This doesnā€™t necessarily have to happen to Viper, it could be anyone else.

A shady-looking Steltian comes up and offers some Madu Fruit for you to buy. You deny it, but you see other Matoran buying it soon. Once you get a closer inspection of one, it turns out theyā€™re highly explosive ones and itā€™ll kill many Matoran if they blow! Should you decide to help the Matoran and possibly be killed, save your skins, or go after the guy selling the Madu fruit?

Cā€™mon. We gotta add Madu Fruit in here. We got to!

I pose a question to you all: Which one of the 42 Rahkshi varieties would you most like to see in the campaign?
