Makuta, Emperor of Okoto

Many years after the departure of the Toa, Makuta reached out from the Shadow Realm and contacted six young Okotans, none of whom had been alive during the heroes’ many exploits on the island, and who knew history of the Mask Makers only as a story. Through deception and trickery, he convinced these young villagers that Ekimu and the Protectors were distorting the tales of the past, casting an unwarranted shadow upon his legacy. After he had fed the villagers enough lies to win them over to his side, Makuta had them perform a vital task. Stealing six Elemental Crystals from their respective regions, the villagers brought them to the site of the sealed Shadow Portal. Using the crystals, they opened the portal once more, but the power they unleashed overwhelmed them, filling their bodies with Elemental Energy and mutating them into creatures under Makuta’s control. The power filled Makuta as well, merging with the energies of his Forbidden Mask and transforming him into a towering new form. Proclaiming himself Emperor of Okoto, Makuta led his Shadow Army out from their dark realm, reclaiming his old Mask of Control from the abyss. Now he leads his forces against Ekimu, and it seems that Okoto will be helpless before his might. Can the Mask Maker defeat his brother once again? Or will the Toa need to be summoned once more to reseal Makuta in the Realm of Shadows?

Makuta vs. Ekimu, who will win?

The Emperor Triumphant:

Makuta without his crown:

Makuta wearing his crown, made from the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders (literally, in my mind he forged it from the mask–at least now it’s useful :stuck_out_tongue:)

So, this is my entry to the Rebrick Contest–which is literally still being submitted as I type this! My hope was to create a massive gold-and-purple titan, and I didn’t realize just how much purple I really had until I was finished. All in all, I think I succeeded…

Critique away! Good luck to everyone else in the contest!

I love how regal it looks! The crown is a nice touch! Good luck!

Thanks! Originally, the Skull Spider mask faced backwards on his head, kind of like a second face, but then I flipped it up and realized that it made a cool headpiece. Adding the purple claws and positioning them like a crown made it even cooler (and resembling the Mask of Creation a bit)!

I like it, but it’s a bit gappy and oddly sculpted, mainly in the chest area.
Plus, I am not a fan of that hammer.
But still, It’s a pretty good MOC.

Not a fan of the gap in the chest, but other than that, this looks pretty good!

It looks like he has a giant magnifying glass. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty cool, though. The crown is super neat.

Thanks, everyone! I agree that the chest gap is annoying, but my MOCs tend to have gaps in lots of places, so I was just glad there was only one this time! :stuck_out_tongue:

The shield on the hammer was actually a last minute addition–I felt that the purple mace was a little small on its own…

I wish I had that much purple.

TBH, you may have more than you think, depending on how many G2 sets you have. Of all the sets that had purple in them, I only have one double, that being a second Korgot. All the rest comes from the other Earth-themed sets.
