Sorry I’ve been inactive recently, I’ll try to update the original post as soon as possible.
All the art recently has been fantastic!
thanks but which color scheme do you frefer? the lighter or the darker?
ried a lot of different combinations but trust me when I say that this works the best.
yeah it isn’t an easy one
thanks
Naturally, I’d go with the original one, but I understand that the Cast might say they could be mistaken for Lightning matoran (Which I don’t believe, despite the example done by @Asriel)
I think the other color scheme is too dark and we are unable to see detail, even making the mask recognition difficult. And then again, they could be mistaken for Nahoan matorans aswell.
Seems like we’ll have trouble deciding on a right color scheme.
Indeed.
Why Dark blue could work: mostly nahoan ancestors, would better fit into their terrain which is really deep underwater with no sunlight.
Why the original could work: no light means no pigment.

Two new pirates are finished
The mechanic
The inventory manager and trader
I think that gold works really well
The gold works well with his scheme, but not with his character. Iruni is supposed to be in serious poverty. The color gold makes him look like he’s rich enough to get his mask painted gold.
It could be after he joins the Brotherhood?
Or you can edit the gold version a bit so it looks like rust.

Original hood by @Asriel
that hood design seems familiar… hmm
It should be. I just altered it a bit…so that it fits into the frame😂
you can use it with no problems, I used your pehlui design so…
@Noupix, I really like the pirates, Idris stands out as the best to me. Loving all these designs.
PS Could remake my g3 self-moc in your superior style? I would greatly appreciate it. If not that’s fine.
Superior style?
To my own.
Aahh I see.
So, no sand pirates then? I think the idea is a lot more distinct and fitting, I mean there would be a lot more caravans in the desert, and the lack of resources would be a logical reason for the piracy,
Plus sand ships are cooler than regular ships.
