Ever since Meatloaf lost her arm to disease caused by the mites, she became obsessed with capturing and torturing them in her lab. She even gave the bugs a form of sentience to make the torture worse for them - but better for her. Her sadistic mind demanded that more and more insects be tortured to death, so much so that she became a pariah amongst the bats as she fell deeper and deeper into obsession.
She eventually began to mutate them, and she found the most fun when she made the mutated bugs did tricks. Eventually she made an “insect zoo” where she made her mutated monstrosity’s do tricks and showed them to people, like some kind of sick twisted circus.
