Mech Monday: CR1CK3T (Updated)

*Updates in comments section

EDIT: Credit to @Ivan for the name.

I wanted to make something in the same color scheme as the CMF Space man in series 17, an this was the result.

Quite unique looking. The pilot looks a bit weird when she’s in the mech though, seems more like she’s awkwardly hanging on it. How about extending that plate just in front of the seat to look like she at least has something to stand on?

I kinda think the legs should be bulked, I mean you probably wanted it that way, but I feel like they’re a bit awkward looking with those feet.

love the body though.

@yolo360nosescope What would you suggest to make it more bulky? Any parts that you have in mind?

these parts could help out with thickening the legs:

the legs bug me for some reason. i think it’s the jointage, and how the legs end up moving/ where the joints are (where each socket/ball is)

I can’t work out what the minifig is wearing

I can make a custom minifig I just threw Skylor in there since she has Keet orange.

I love that mech so much.

Does it leap?

No, but I am redesigning the legs so maybe it will.

@Yveran @yolo360nosescope @Sammythekat @Ivan @Leoxander

So here are the changes:

  • Place for the minifigure to stand instead of just hanging there
  • Legs graded and I tried to make it seem like it could leap with springs and greebles
  • Cockpit cover added
  • New pilot

Excellent work! I approve of small Lego mechs with good flexibility and build.

I think the feet look a bit awkward, but a great improvement, love the legs and the rest of the mech!

The feet don’t mesh well with the rest of this glorious mech.
