This is actually really cool, looks like something I would see on Adventure Time or Steven Universe (the pilot’s art style rather than the actual show’s). Especially that Monster Kopaka
It’s easy to do, when you’re the one drawing. Outsiders have the benefit of being able to take art at face value and look at it more objectively. For creators its far more personal, they know exactly what their insecurities are and where to look for mistakes in their own artwork.
I don’t think I’ve ever met an artist that has ever been 100% satisfied with their work. And IMO you really shouldn’t be, because all that means is that you’ve stagnated and there’s no more room for improvement in your eyes. To me, you should always strive to improve no matter how skilled you are
These are far from “ugly as sin,” and I enjoy the art style of these guys. Work hard every day to make your next better than ever, it’s a good lesson to live by.
I actually really liked lava beast and skull warrior. Overall, I feel your lines are a bit wobbly, and this makes your artwork less good. I would use more flat lines, as the can improve them and make them look more professional.
Also, welcome back, @DarkHenrik!
Please don’t be so afraid of criticism, try to get less upset when we just say what we think, and try to be less self-critical.
Your artwork doesn’t need to be in spoilers. In fact, I think they are pretty good. Also, if they are hand-drawn, that’s really impressive. Don’t be so hard on yourself, dude!
see, this hand drawn artwork is actualy drawn two times, first by hand on a peice of paper, and then scanned and later re-drawn to add in the black lines and then the colors and effects.
i don’t have the type of computer drawing pad that others might have, so i have to use my dad’s scanner to scan them and put them on a memory stick. then i put the drawings on my own computer, place them in PAINT.NET and then i re-draw them and add in the colors.
