Thanks. You are a lifesaver. This will aid me on this special project I am working on.

(I almost forgot again, let’s go)
Decided to draw this doofus. Kinda rushed and I went too dark, but he’s kinda neat. If I draw him again I wanna make him kinda lanky and unconfident.
Finally drew Velika accurately for once. The great being probably wasn’t too happy about getting messed up by Karzahni.
I wanted to do a layered effect, but I didn’t consider how opaque the tracing paper is. Still made for a neat fog effect.
This one’s fun. Shadow Takanuva, made with cyanotype. hehe
(though I painted over it with watercolours because I messed up the negative)
The OGs reading this thread may remember my boy Albus. I didn’t do him justice here though, I should revisit 'im.
I held a raffle on Twitter and Bluesky a while back, and here’s one of the prizes. I’ll admit, it took me a bit to make the connection.
And the other prize, a couple of buddies in plushie form.
No major news just yet, so I’ll be back next week with a lotta blue.
I think this may be the first time I’ve seen fanart of Von Ness. It’s very welcome, though.
Is Pohatu doing the Sonic pose?
I promised a buncha blue, here we go!
This (came out meh).
This piece reminded me that I seem to be avoiding scrap pieces, only ones I really consider trash from my current sketchbook are the Silence one and this. Now, is this a rise in skill or looser standards? Dunno, but it’s hella convenient.
This one came out really well, joining Onewa, Rocka, Kodan and Shadow Takanuva in the successful redo group.
This one’s neat but that face doesn’t look right…
Also I messed up with the varnish after scanning (glow in the dark paint is sticky and I covered it up) and now this piece is ruined in the sketchbook :,(
Went with a more graphical approach with this one, has a vibe.
I am never doing this again.
You know how I mentioned twice that I abandoned the idea of a Chronicler’s company? Well now I’m doing it! I’m doing a double-element Toa theme, kinda like the Toa Inika, which is echoed here with Tamaru as a mix Toa of Air and Lightning. I’m giving each member a second element from the batch of secondary elements, based on what’d work for their character.
Now, would it make more visual sense to give an element with contrasting colours? Yes. Did I think of that in time. no
I’m also giving them disc launchers on their forearms, half-baked because these take forever to make.
Here’s the second one (Toa Chrono?? idk), Kopeke. I gave him a second element of Sonics and a kanohi Suletu.
Join me next time when I present Hafu and Taipu, a pair of Toa that can now be more easily distinguished!
These are all beautiful. Say for the next art as a request, can you draw a picture of a Bula Berry with Vuata Maca crystals from the Bionicle GBA Quest for the Toa video game?
His jaw looks a little big and he’d probably look creepier with no pupils. But the colors look great.
Aight, bblirue period is over, time for a new batch;
Toa Hafu - he has an element mix of stone and plasma, which I figured would help with his carving and stuff.
Toa Taipu - his elements I decided on last, so I had a few options. I picked Plant Life/the Green/Jungle mostly to separate him from Hafu. And the mix goes well together, so yay.
I had fun with this one lol. Kapura’s slow, so it’d be boring to give him a Kakama, instead I gave him a Calix, to make sure his slow movement is extra impressive. Secondary element of gravity fits the vibe. And I couldn’t think of any weapons so I gave him hooks to assist slow combat.
And finally, Toa Macku. I mentioned it would’ve made more sense to give the group elements that would contrast the main one’s colours, but the colour similarities actually ended up being a plus, since the Toa I assigned leadership gets that contrast. With gold even!
As for deputy, probably Taipu or Kopeke.
And wouldn’t be Takua’s Chronicler’s company without the man himself. I dunno if I want this group to be in alliance with Takanuva or
be fighting a corrupted Takanuva, but either way, I made him a combo toa of light and shadow, which is what inspired the whole two-element… element of these Toa.
And here’s the gang all in one image.
I wanted to give myself some time after that so it’s plushie time again! Here’s Rocka.
And, finally, an Irina plushie. Long overdue. Want.
Anyway, expect some more plushies and either a rise or dip in quality next time. I plan to more actively use references this month to improve my proportions intuition.
Irina looks cute the way you made her as a doll.
Reference february ain’t going too well

I’ve been thinking about drawing a combiner plushie for a while and I’ve finally done it.
Funny name, funny colours, attempt at a ruru.
I’m not really sure what I think about this piece. The Ignika came out well, but the vibe of the pencil lines got lost, and I haven’t been able to get the vibe I want for the Pit mutagen with watercolours. But the vibes of the Kingdom AU were too good to ignore.
Icarax, featuring a study (-ish) of bat wings. Haven’t been able to get the bat makuta wings down yet.
Now this one’s a banger. The Kingdom AU again, with two takanuvas. The noble avohkii kinda works.
I got inspired to draw one of these monsters, and it aight.
And now, it’s time… (-ish):
for a while I’ve been considering (and now setting up) art commissions. And because I haven’t gotten a response from Twonter and Bluesky, I’ll promote the test run here too;
Info
I haven’t really decided on pricing yet so here’s placeholder stuff.
(I also haven’t updated page 4 to include forum PMs, but that’s also an option)
Have a look if you’re at all interested, otherwise see you next week.
(I may have an idea of what I’m gonna do for the next sketchbook’s overly ambitious first page :^) )
These illustrations are all awesome. Say have you considered doing commissions on instagram, reddit, newgrounds, etc.?
I’ll consider Newgrounds.
I am once again running out of starters lets go
Y’know, I kinda liked the Bohrok Va design I made for Day 1 and it kinda got lost in perspective. So I drew Kohrak Va in a simpler view.
That one was kinda quick so I also made a plushie.
want
Not much to say here other than crab.
Plushie time again! Here’s Jovan in canon colours (I saw an artwork on Bluesky and agreed with it).
I decided to try different proportions, and when that got messy, I experimented with the background.
jemtbgu
And finally, a fine-lookin’ plushie of Vastus.
I’m gonna end this post by mentioning my art commissions again for anyone interested (see last week’s post) and a teaser - the next batch might be the strongest yet :).
