He was Originally a Ta-Matoran on Mata-Nui. He followed with the other Matoran, up until Teridax took over. He escaped when Teridax landed on Bara Magna, and turned into a Toa from exposure to a Toa Stone charged by a former Toa of Air who had died. He will star in a story I am writing called Bionicle: Warlords
