Sure! The paint is regular old canned spray paint. I’m using Rustoleum’s 2X Paint & Primer line for pretty much everything.
As for method, I don’t have a concise way of explaining what I do but I can refer you to a fairly exhaustive list of tips and considerations from my experience. Read my reply to someone on flickr who asked the same; hopefully it has what you’re looking for.
