New Creatures Challenge

I am interested what people will do when given this challenge. Basically it is that you have to redesign a creature from 2016 to make it humanoid, (if it all ready isn’t), but toa sized.
The rules are:
*May only use parts from the respective creature along with the 2015 and 2016 toa of the respective element
*Keep it as simple as possible, but still decent looking, like it might become a future set. Probably wont, but who cares? (Did that so people wouldn’t make Ketar terrible)
*Try to confine all entries to one post
Anyways I will show my versions of Akida, Terak and Ketar that I have already built, after about 100 or so entries.
Edit: I got a lot of comments about this so, if it slows down to much I will show my versions. If it explodes past 100 I will let it continue until it slows down and I will show my versions. And yes, mine are already built.

Are shadow traps and Skull Spiders allowed?

100 is a pretty high goal. I suggest you drop your expectations way lower, maybe 15 or less.

They can be included in the picture, but not in the actual MoC.

Why do you think I put it so high? Also I don’t think it will be that difficult.

Edited for double-post. --Jack O’Neill

Many months ago, a guy started a Brotherhood of Makuta project, aiming for 100 entries.
It’s still going.
You can keep the current quota, but it’s gonna take a WHILE for it to finish.

I’ll start making some MOCs! This sounds cool.

Seems like a pretty simple challenge. I’m down.

Yeah, I hope you don’t feel like sharing those mocs, because it’s gonna be a few months(if ever) before you get a chance post 'em.

I was planning on letting people taking a month or two to start building.

Okay so here’s new Melum,

New Terak,

New Ketar

These are the only creatures I currently have but I’m hoping to get Ikir or Uxar soon.

These are as simple as possible but still have good structure and design. Please critique and leave suggestions for future creature MOCs.

Thanks for completely knocking me out of the competition.

Be glad I deleted my entries.

######But it’s a challenge, not a competition…

Still, you chimed in at just the right time with the “oh right” and then it just blows everyone’s mind and my MOCs look stupid.

I apologize if that sounds mean.

That probably came off as smug, but it was more my reaction to this topic being relevant again. Honestly, I wouldn’t have posted, had nobody else. I built and photographed my entry the night that this was announced, but held off on posting it.

When I saw your posts today, however, I was reminded that this was a thing and decided to upload my contribution.

Uh… All of two people’s?
######My thing has two likes.

That’s what you said, not anyone else. If you want to take more time to improve them, that’s fine, but that doesn’t seem to be why you revoked your entries. It seems like you revoked them because you feel like making a scene. Being what some might call “a drama queen.”

There’s no best of a collective project- In fact, I wouldn’t even call my entry “good” as a standalone moc. I didn’t enter to overshadow other entries. If you’re not going to cooperate just because you personally find my entry more attractive than your own, then you’re not even proving a point. You’re just being stubborn and helping prevent a potential community project from flourishing.

Point is, it’s not a community project without the community aspect, and what you’re doing seems silly and rather counter-productive. Do what you will, but you have my condemnation in doing what you are.

  5. I revoked becaused I was upset because your entry blew mine out the window
  6. I thought that we were supposed to re-make the actual creature just in toa size
  7. Forgive me and I truly am sorry if my “snide” comments upset you

It’s totally alright. I understand that as a knee-jerk reaction.

Honestly, I went a bit overboard with mine, given the actual prompt of the challenge.

Really though, don’t worry about it. Just don’t quit on my behalf, okay?

Okay, thanks I put my post back up and I’ll make some more “new creatures” when I get more 2016 sets. :grinning: Thanks for the like.

@Biodude15 Could you just post your models so we can get the basic Idea on how to build these things?

I think that so far the MOCs are great so far. I think I will take some pictures and post them. But the point of not posting them so people wouldn’t try to copy my style, and make origional creations. Also I will be releasing them from least amount of parts to the one with the most parts peridically as I feel like it.

@Toa_Fjordisk That was the point of the challenge to remake the creatures in toa size. And I think Garnia did go a bit overboard with Melum.

@Chilly_Productions Looks like what I would probably do for Uxar
