Guy’s i think the beast have transparent head pieces.
Yeah, they are blended masks also. Lava beasts is black with trans-orange tips.

Ekimu is still every generic as heck “Toa Ekimu” revamp, but Greg Farshtey’d into canon. The only thing I think that’s new (aside from the trans mask) is the use of the old shield as a buckler.
Quake beast is a mess. He would be cool if trans purple hadn’t been in the winter wave, but now he’s not as interesting.
Storm beast is in a similar boat, but he’s one I think everyone will get due to the new dark blue shells. He reminds me of IFB’s Queen Beast, of all things.
Surprisingly, Lava Beast might be my favorite of this wave. His colors are a bit more consistent and form a better contrast than on most of the other sets, the head looks more imposing than the others’, that chest print looks awesome and the fact that his blades have a black base instead of silver gives them awesome MOCing potential.
UTD had more design similarities to UTH than was expected, but of course done on a bulky MOC rather than the slimmer archer archetype of UTH. His colors aren’t as interesting as UTH’s, and the Mask of Control looks kind of goofy with those green things ticking out of it. I do think that, like UTH and LoSS, he might be good to provide a different set of parts than the standard CCBS builds.

I’m definitely picking up Umarak, Ekimu and Lava Beast when they come out. Will probably wait for other two to go on sale.
Assuming these sets don’t grow on me which they probably will.

What is that?
What is this two-part assembly supposed to represent? An outdoor mirror? Some kind of light reflector so that the camera man can take better pictures?
