But why $25000 for a rock? The seller could have easily found a rock and carved a face into it, and done it hundreds of times.
It’s expensive because it’s symbolic of the fleeting nature of success and the human ambition to defy nature, to prolong beauty, to derive meaning in an ultimately meaningless universe in order to satisfy that man-made purpose.
