I view protector as a title, not the name of “species” (like how the gang dubbed fire protector baby) . But I’m curious about the okotians. You think we could get different tribes? Like how gen 1 did bout su-Matoran, ect. I would love to learn bout this mysterious gen 2 race

I would find getting more types of Okotian would be groovy, But I doubt it. I mean it is a possibility, but Not one I see happening anytime soon.
Protector is more than likely a title, and likely achieved through some trials or tests. Or maybe they were past masters…

I just call them Villagers/Islanders/Okotoans. Protector, as far as I can discern, is an inherited title, like nobility.
I would love more information on the different Okotian tribes, but that probably won’t happen 
Ya, the islanders are referenced as villagers and the protectors are their leaders. I don’t know why people just call them all protectors. I would like to know the species though, would be nice.

Considering the main doctrine of Bionicle G2 so far has been simplifying everything, I doubt we’ll even see much of the existing tribes now that they don’t have sets currently out this year.
I don’t think that there are different “species” of Okotans. It would appear that their powers come from their masks, not from a biological property. A villager of jungle is just the same as a villager of ice. Your mask is probably given to you at birth, never to be changed unless it is broken beyond even Ekimu’s power to fix. An islanders mask is such an integral part of them, parting with it would probably cause major mental trauma.
Also, I don’t think that we will see any different tribes. All other elements are subdivisions of the main 6, so it’s pointless to make a specific mask for it. Your mask and your environment determine your tribe.

I think the only time we may get more tribes is if G2 is renewed for another three years, and the story moves to a new island with six new elements. There isn’t really space in the lore to introduce new (base) elements to Okoto.
(Though technically those new tribes wouldn’t be Okotoans, they would be whatever inhabitants of that new island are called.)
I don’t remember who posted this but someone was talking about foreign invaders invading Okoto in 2017. These invaders can also be domestic invaders too I guess and that would be cool if we see like an army of invaders, domestic or foreign.

Magnetism (orange, Copper/Bronze, trans-black)
Psionics (gold, metru blue, trans dark blue)
Sonics (White, Trans clear, Gunmetal)
Lightning (Mata blue, Trans yellow, silver or Yellow, trans blue, silver)
Time (I have no clue for colours)
Air (i have no clue for color scheme)
Even though it’s usually thought of as evil, I’d like to see a Shadow Toa and tribe.
We need a seventh tribe that dwells in necromancy and are the main ones that serve Makuta and revive the Skull Warriors.
