71793 Heatwave Transforming Lava Dragon was released June 1st, 2023 (and presumably August 1st, 2023 in North America) and retailed for $54.99, €52.99, and £46.99. It contained five minifigures, one of which was exclusive, and retired on December 31st, 2024.
While the set was advertised as belonging to Kai, in the show, Heatwave was in truth the adopted father of Wyldfyre (a character who made her first debut in this set), and Kai did not have any direct connection to the dragon outside similar powers and a mentoring relationship to Wyldfyre. Ras’s vehicle (as well as the purple Dragon Core it carries) is non-canon, despite its similarities to a different vehicle from 71792 Sora’s Transforming Mech Bike Racer that did appear in the show. All other involved aspects of the set did appear in the show, though none of the character outfits have appeared since the Wyldfyre multimedia campaign of 2024 (and Ras, Lloyd, and Kai changed outfits even before then). That is, unless one counts the Claw Hunters, who returned in this outfit variously (though with paint added to signify their membership in the Freebooters, Rapton’s rogue robbery array). Heatwave himself has hardly appeared since the first season and the Wyldfyre multimedia campaign.

I have that set and it’s the worst ninjago set i’ve gotten.
The dragon itself is stiff and barely poseable, all so that it can have the “transforming” function (just flipping the torso over so the head goes down, yippee). The only reason for this “function” is to accomodate the launcher, but the launching function is worse than squid launchers – you have to hold multiple parts together for it to not get stuck, and even if it works, half the time it barely shoots and the ball just flops out.
