Im trying out a new protective clear coat layer, what do you guys think of it? It’s a lot more glossy than my old one.

The clear coat will definitely add a lot of gloss. I personally prefer a more matte surface, but whatever you prefer artistically goes, obviously. These are pretty neat either way.

That’s good for me to know! It definitely doesn’t feel quite right on some masks; I couldn’t find more of the same brand of glaze that i was using previously, so I had to try a new one. I have one other option to try, but I’m not sure if it’s Satin or Gloss. I’ll just keep posting updates as I keep painting!
Awesome, that’s the look I’m going for. The gloss definitely looks smoother, but it does increase light glare, so I’ll have to keep experimenting.

I like a mix of the two, a more satin surface rather than truly matte or reflective gloss.
