Just today at 7:43pm est. I opened all of my PM notifications, and it still says I 1 PM notification. 
Not like it’s really problematic, so it’s nothing urgent.

This occasionally happens to me but it only stays for a while.

You prolly have some PMs set to tracking instead of watching.
Go to your messages and change up those settings.
