Two more Pocket Bohrok! This time Water and Fire. I wanted each of these Bohrok to have subtle differences to each other while still being built the same, kind of like the toa mata.
First well start with Pocket Gahlok. She has Hooks instead of claws, a snorkel looking snout and broader looking shoulders. other than that, she is built the same as Pocket Nuhvok. As such she also has the same features: She has a function that is controlled with a lever on the back, hitting her eye will make her krana fly out and she can fold up into a ball. The last thing to mention is the use of yellow in the design. I did this because I think yellow eyes works better that the orange of the original, and it calls kinda back to Scuba from Slizers (Gali Master had yellow in her scheme too. Just goes to show how well a touch of yellow looks good with blue) .
Next is Pocket Tahnok. For Tahnok I wanted to differentiate then from the others with a different body design. So, I built him with a backwards torso, which influenced how I built the face. I also wanted to give him orange spike wheels for weapons, which while small can still extend far enough with the lever function to work. He also has backwards legs (if he didn’t he wouldn’t be able to roll up), this gives his legs a digitigrade look. due to this, he stands a bit shorter than other Pocket Bohrok and regular Bohrok. As his stature serves to differentiate himself more from the others, I see it as a happy accident. the last thing to mention is that he can also fold up into a ball (and does it better than the others too).
He also had an earlier iteration on my Pocket Toa Topic, But this version was more of an experimental brain controlled warrior idea, and I was unsatisfied with it. I wanted to bring my Pocket Bohrok back to being more Bohrok like.
Overall I am very happy with these two. They differentiate themselves from Pocket Nuhvok despite being built the same, which was the main goal with these two.
See ya next time!
