For those who don’t know the rules (credit to ghid for the original rules):
no quoting banned mebmers
you cannot quote yoursef
do not moldify the quote in any way
If you got quoted and think the way its construed breaks site rules (or it breaks rule 9), flag the post
you have to actualy quote the person using the quote function
only one quot per post
do not quote this topic or I will biye you
quote must contaim a typo, preferably a funny one
And one new one. See, some people don’t like people making fun of their typos. Some people may not have english as their native language. I want this topic to be fun, not a place to bully people. We’re all here to laugh at ourselves. So our new rule:
YOU CAN ONLY QUOTE PEOPLE WHO’VE POSTED IN THIS TOPIC.
Yeah, I know, I’m a buzzkill. But that’s the best way I can think of to make this topic fair and fun. If you can laugh at other people, they can laugh at you. Also, consider this: I’m the first person volunteering to be made fun of.
Also, yes, if you wish to submit yourself to being laughed at but don’t have a typo, you can feel free to just “sign up”. Partly because right now to enter you need a typo from me, and those are hard to find.
Racie, I think you are now the boards member I despise the most for putting so many typos in this topic. You’re forgiven, though, because you made this topic. The big game now is getting people to post here.
Here’s my questions: Is it only for misspellings, or are grammatical mistakes permissible as well? Additionally, we have to clarify what we found objectionable, correct?
I’d say maybe. Often grammar mistakes are more likely someone doesn’t know the rules, rather than a typo. But sometimes I mix up things like their and there by mistake and it’s funny.
Not necessarily. Some will be obvious. And sometimes half the fun is looking at your own post for a solid 30 seconds until you see the typo and feel silly.
I check my posts before and after posting them enough that I shouldn’t have anything here, but, if you find such a grammatical error, don’t hesitate to insert it herein.
