To be blatantly honest, I didn’t know him by name until he died, but I’m posting partly because Nintendo=cool and partly because my best friend was literally crying about it. I’m sad too, but we all know Nintendo will go on.
Satoru Iwata: definitely one of the most important figures in video game history, as well as a kind and humble human being…
He will most certainly be missed.

So yet another legend has fallen. Wow. Did you know that Iwata was the one who compressed the data in Pokemon Gold and Silver so Kanto could be included in the games? We will miss you Satoru Iwata, thank you for leading Nintendo through its most difficult times.
He made my first and favourite pokemon game(s) as good as they were.
