When I think of memories like right now if I run it through my brain detail by detail the next time I remember it I will be taken back to now rather than the actual memory though I will still have the same thoughts.

It’s the same reason we have moose as both the singular and plural, while at the same time we have goose and geese.

I’ve heard all game animals are both plural and singular in their name, i.e. moose, deer, elk etc
