Rukah's Moc Topic!

aahh
so the slizer foot pieces on the sides of the torso make it too round?
I can fix that.

I think you can get away with those pieces, it’s just that shoulders are a bit narrow in comparison, perhaps widening them a bit would fix the proportion issues a bit.

Yes but I like the narrower shoulders.
hmmm
I’ll have to play around in stud.io a bit to get the proportions right.
Other than that, though, do you guys like the rest of the moc?

The swords definitely are neat, and I can always appreciate a mata foot being used as a torso piece.

thanks!

I know, that piece is actually really good as a torso.

Gradus

Toa of Gravity and leader of the Toa Cordrus. His Kanohi is the Pakari, the mask of strength. It allows him to increase his strength exponentially. His particular mask has a rather odd shape, but so far he hasn’t revealed its origin to anyone. His Toa Tool is the Gravity Hammer, which he often uses in conjunction with his gravity powers. He can make it light as a feather, or make it (usually the head) heavier than a rock. Being a Toa of Gravity, Gradus can create and control gravitic forces. He is very creative in using his power, often using it to end fights in minutes by making his enemies too heavy to stand, or just erasing gravity on them altogether. Weight is irrelevant to him. However, he always follows the Toa Code, and never kills his opponents unless he has no other choice. His personality is easy enough to get along with, though he takes no nonsense from his fellow Toa. He also has a bit of a temper so don’t get him angry. Gradus tries very hard to be a leader, and as a result has a strong sense of duty. In battle, he is very creative and almost never gives up. He also is very much a hero and tries to protect innocents at any cost. This may be his weakness however, as he may get exhausted trying to do so. Gradus is also very proactive, and his constant attempts to try and mold the Toa Cordrus into a good team are paying off, despite his frequent clashes with Casua. During battle, he gives orders quickly and doesn’t expect any nonsense from his fellow Toa. Originally, he came from the Northern Continent, and as a Ba-Matoran worked as a tool maker. A village of Ce-Matoran was also close to Ba-Koro, which was where Kavrin came from. Somehow, the two had never met until the formation of their team.

Kavrin

The most peaceful of the group, Kavrin is a Toa of Psionics. The mask that she uses is the Hau, the mask of shielding. It creates an impenetrable shield around the user, protecting them from harm. Her Psionic Staff is her main tool, and although she is quite proficient in using it in battle, she prefers to use it for peaceful purposes. Psionics is her power, and she can use it for a variety of things, including mental shielding, telepathy, telekinesis, illusion creating, and limited mind control, among other things. However, she rarely ever uses them in a combative way, preferring to redirect rather than attack. As stated above, Kavrin is a very peaceful individual who would rather sit and talk than fight. Although, if forced to fight, she is very good at using her powers and her tool to do so. Despite this, she is probably the least best at fighting in the Toa Cordrus. She is almost probably the smartest, as her mind powers allow her to sense what others are feeling and mediate with them better. During politics, she is the one you want on your side, as she can be very persuasive and influential. Kavrin is very kind to most beings and tries the hardest of the group to protect innocents, even more so than Gradus. She also appreciates nature, though not as much as Akaru. She gets along well with him and Casua, though she sometimes is put at odds with the Toa of Water, due to Casua preferring to fight rather than talk. She also helps to talk to Rutar whenever he isn’t talking to the others. Kavrin was originally from a Ce-Matoran village, called Ce-Koro, on the Northern Continent. Coincidentally, this village was close to Ba-Koro, which was Gradus’ old home. The two never met though, until the formation of their Toa team. As a Ce-Matoran, she often worked as a diplomat, and this experience in peaceful talking is very helpful as a Toa.

Rutar

Perhaps the most mysterious of the Toa Cordrus, Rutar is a Toa of Stone. He is also the strongest, and his Kanohi is the Ruru. Despite being Noble-shaped, it is in fact a Great Mask. The Ruru allows Rutar to see in dark places, and even has limited X-ray vision. As for tools, he carries twin Sickle Swords, which allow him to channel his stone powers and are in fact very durable and sharp. He is an expert at using them to their full potential, often attacking or slamming into enemies with them. Rutar is a Toa of Stone, and so can create and control stone and rocks. He uses this power to make stone prisons, stone walls, and can even shake the ground, if it has enough rocks in it. He can also crumble stones into dust. Rutar is extremely strong and is willing to take more than a few hits for his friends. In battle, he often uses direct force, charging or slamming right into anything in his path, or using his stone powers to trap or hit opponents. Rutar is also very stealthy when he chooses to be, and is incredibly swift, using his swords to smash or slice foes. Despite his battle tactics, he always follows the Toa Code. Rutar is often silent and doesn’t waste words when talking. In fact, he hardly ever talks, and the member of the team he interacts with the most is Kavrin. He is often distant, and he is usually silent and stoic. None of the Toa Cordrus know why he is this way, but he has perfectly good reasons. In fact, Rutar was originally from Irusia, one of the members of the small Matoran population on Rukah’s original homeland. However, Rukah had never met him before and thus did not know of this. On Irusia, as a Po-Matoran, Rutar was very friendly and worked as a carver. His best friend was Ohir, a Vo-Matoran. The two had worked together and saw each other often. That was before the overrunning of Irusia by a Makuta and his forces. During the invasion, Ohir and Rutar were separated, and Rutar desperately searched for his friend, hoping that they could escape together. Ultimately, his search was in vain, and Rutar was one of the few Matoran to escape Irusia. Ever since, he has been mostly closed off from the universe and has promised himself he would never carve again until he saw Ohir again. After becoming a Toa, Rutar hoped that she was still alive and the Toa Cordrus could rescue her once they got to Irusia. Like the others, he had never met them until they were called to become Toa.

Casua

Toa of Water and deputy of the team. She can use her Kaukau, or mask of water breathing, to breathe underwater for extended periods of time. This is particularly useful given that she is a Toa of Water and often has to swim to different places. Casua carries two Water Blades, which are thin, light swords that she uses in combat and channels her water powers through. Casua is also very quick and acrobatic, and these weapons go well with her fighting style. Being a Toa of Water, she can control and create water. She often uses her element to push back foes, or to knock them off their feet. She also excels in close combat, using swift strikes to defeat enemies. Her fighting style also fits her personality, which is snippy, impulsive, and sarcastic, unlike most Toa of Water. Casua is the deputy leader of the Toa Cordrus, and her leadership skills are the best of the team save Gradus, who is better at organizing. However, her impulsive and hot headed nature has often put her at odds with Gradus, as she sometimes doesn’t think things through and has little patience during missions where she has to wait. She would also fight first rather than talking, which sometimes causes friction between her and Kavrin. Casua would rather get things done quickly, and her weapons and fighting style reflect this. She often insults or laughs at foes in order to trip them up or confuse them. While good at acrobatics, she is not very good at being stealthy, unlike Rutar or Gradus. Despite her impulsive nature, she often gets along well with the other members of the Toa Cordrus, even Gradus at times. She gets along the best with Kavrin and Toiah, the latter because of his tendency to joke around, which she sometimes takes part in. Before becoming a Toa, she lived in a Ga-Matoran village on the shores of the Southern Continent. When she was a Matoran she worked as a village sentry. Like the others, she had met none of them until the day they became Toa.

More details on Irusians

The Irusians live on a small island, called Irusia, that is a part of the Southern Islands of the Matoran Universe. All Irusians have wings, which enable them to fly, despite how spindly these wings may look. All Irusians also have innate knowledge of flight, and of air currents. They also all have the ability to use Kanohi masks and each have one natural power. These powers have a wide range and it is very difficult to find a pair of Irusians with the same powers. Certain parts of Irusians’ bodies also glow, and their eyes glow bright also. They are humanoid in appearance, about the size of a Toa. Despite using Kanohi like Toa, they can survive just fine without them. Removing an Irusian’s Kanohi has no effect on them. However, most wear masks to cover their unsightly faces and to give them extra abilities. Irusians are also slightly stronger than Toa and have unusually powerful immune systems, destroying almost any potentially harmful foreign agents.

Rukah

This particular Irusian is notable by being my self moc. Like all Irusians, he has wings, and can use them to fly. His Kanohi is shaped like a Miru Nuva, yet has the power of a Rode, enabling him to see through any lies or deception. There is probably a reason as to its unusual shape but he refuses to tell. His natural power is the ability to calm anyone or anything down, including himself. For example, if a Kane-Ra was about to charge at him, he could use it to make it calm down and stop. This is good, because Rukah does not have the best control of his emotions yet. He is hoping to improve this by training with the Order of Mata Nui. As for his tools, he carries twin swords, the blades crafted from Irusian crystal. This particular substance is notable for three things: One, the fact that it is almost indestructible, two, the fact that it can be used to deflect almost anything, and three, the fact that they were mined directly from Irusia itself. This gives them their name. From rocks to Rhotuka, Rukah’s swords can block or deflect them with no ill effects to it or the user. The blades are also incredibly sharp, given the honing Rukah has given them, making them as effective as the next weapon. Rukah himself is generally easy enough to get along with, provided you are not a thief or causer of harm. Lying to him will not work, given his mask. His goals generally line up with those of Toa, fighting to protect innocents and keep peace throughout the universe. Rukah is also a traveler, wanting to explore, though this sometimes gets him into trouble. Most of the time he isn’t quick to pick a fight, wanting to talk it out and such. Don’t underestimate him in battle, however. He is extremely skilled with his twin swords and is very creative in using his Irusian abilities. Rukah also has a quick wit, but he knows when to keep his mouth shut. Don’t get him angry though. He is very destructive when he’s angry. However, this doesn’t happen often given his particular Irusian power. His main color is silver, with accents of black. His glowing parts glow a light blue color. He carries with him Vakras’ old Kanohi, a Pakari.

Vakras

The Irusian named Vakras used to be Rukah’s best friend on Irusia, but later turned into the reason why he left. His armor was colored gray, with light gray accents. He had purple glowing parts, yet had green eyes. His Irusian power was instant disintegration. Vakras had to be careful while using this, as it is very dangerous. Like all Irusians, he had wings, and thus could fly. His Kanohi was the Pakari, or mask of strength. He worked as an Irusian crystal miner, his disintegration abilities coming in handy to get rid of rocks. He was rather timid and not much of a leader, but still knew how to get the job done. Also, he found dark places and caves to be comforting, unlike most Irusians. Unfortunately, he is not that way now. The current Vakras is cruel, calculating, and sneaky. One day, he was captured by a Makuta’s agents, because the Makuta wanted a capable lieutenant and decided that the Irusian was a prime candidate. He began… experimenting … on Vakras. When he was finished, his personality was completely different, and he had augmented abilities. While retaining his wings and power of disintegration, he gained the ability to build anger in other beings, ironically the opposite of Rukah’s natural power. He also became able to create and control molten protodermis. His armor color was changed to black, and the glowing parts of him and his eyes were changed to orange. His armor now had tiny barbs sticking out of it. To complete his transformation, Vakras was given two things. One, a Kanohi Ruru-shaped Tryna, and two, a scythe with Irusian crystal blades. He can use the Tryna to revive dead beings to fight for him, but it only lasts for as long as he concentrates. The scythe has a twin-bladed head, and the Irusian crystals allow it to deflect almost anything. After the Makuta was finished, Vakras was ready to serve him and be a faithful servant. Despite the changes, his heartlight glows purple, symbolic of the good that still remains locked away within him.

Ractun

This mysterious fellow is from a species that was almost completely wiped out by Visorak. They had no natural powers except for the ability to use Kanohi masks. Ractun was a mechanical genius and explorer, and he fashioned mechanical arms in order to fight better and grab or climb things. He was furious when he found out that his former homeland had been overrun by the spiders, and he found the corpses of his friends. This caused him to go completely mad with revenge, and sought out an artifact of great power. The artifact in question was the Staff of the Green, and it was rumored that it could be found on Ractun’s home island. After a series of harrowing and dangerous trials, he succeeded. However, there was a very good reason why the Staff was hidden away. Once he had taken hold of it, his madness and desire for revenge increased exponentially, barely resembling his former personality. He also gained control over plantlife, able to create plants with little effort and control them, similar to Toa of Plantlife, only much more powerful. Unknown to him though, the consequences of this power were much more dangerous. An infection of cursed vines has been slowly spreading over his body, consuming his right arm and leg, along with his torso and head. It has even started on his mechanical arm backpack. Eventually, he will be completely consumed by the Staff, and will be little more than a freakish menace. Ractun doesn’t know this though, as he is completely insane. Before finding the Staff, Ractun was a rather quiet individual, although he was incredibly smart and a mechanical genius. He still is as smart as ever, just more crazy. Now, Ractun is a violent, wild person, prone to fits of hysterical laughter and random movements. Clearly he has some kind of plan in mind, but for now it is impossible to tell, though he does kill Visorak on site. His Kanohi mask is the Faxon, which allows him to copy the powers of Rahi close to him. Before being infected, he used this to temporarily grant himself extra powers. As mentioned above, he also uses the Staff of the Green, a mysterious and powerful staff which grants the user control over plant life, while also turning them insane and slowly consuming them with vines. The Staff is also useful for combat as it is almost indestructible and the head is very sharp. Ractun also has two mechanical arms, connected to his torso, which he can control with his mind to do anything he wishes. He is also very strong and fast, traits that he shares with his long-gone species. His armor colors were gray, black and dark blue, but now parts of him are the bright lime colors of the vines that are slowly spreading all over him. He is not a member of the Others.

Robot1

This guy doesn’t really have a lot of lore to him, and here it is. I also have a couple of ideas regarding him.
First idea: He is a robotic guard built to be very difficult to fight and very strong. The staff has a micro-generator built into it and can transmit electrical shocks. The blades of the staff are also very sharp. If destroyed, the robot is able to reconstruct itself. The only way to stop it is to destroy a vital component, such as the power cells or the head. Despite their effectiveness, these robotic guards are a sparse sight, due to the fact that the materials and technology needed to create them are rather expensive. The “antennae” are actually info transmitters and the singular “eye” is a high-tech sensory device, capable of seeing in the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum. The other senses are likewise very powerful. Power cells are located in the torso of the robot, and they are extremely energy-efficient, only needing to be charged every 100 years. These robots are controllable and lack free will, despite their extremely advanced AI.
Second idea:
The character is actually a transforming robot that isn’t in the Bionicle universe. Maybe he could be in Transformers instead. There really isn’t a lot of info here so it’s rather basic at the moment. He could be a Triple Changer.
Third idea:
One of the guard robots from story idea 1 has mysteriously gained sentience. It can talk and think. I don’t have much of an idea of what it could do but maybe it somehow joins up with Rukah and the Toa Cordrus. Robot1 is its name, and it has all the abilities of the guard robots from above. Instead of meeting up with the Toa Cordrus and Rukah, maybe he is the leader of the Others. Robot1’s personality is very reserved, but also has a sense of humor and knows the value of it. He is very strategic and logical in battle, and is very good at arguing.
Fourth idea:
Robot1 is a prototype battle robot that can transform into two modes. It eventually escapes its creators and gains sentience before any more robots could be built. It could be the leader and founder of the Others.
Fifth idea:
The robot can convert between the staff-wielding version and the transforming version. It escapes from its creators and somehow gains sentience. It becomes the leader and founder of the Others.

ehhh
unfortunately I was unable to fit a ball joint in there, but it can swivel from side to side and move forward and back, which is basically the same effect.
If I were to attach it via a ball joint the neck would be too long.
